The full environment of this island is really awesome with a beautiful Sea beach, where you can take bath same as cox’s bazar or saint martin island. It’s like a village, where lives maximum poor and fisherman their main profession is catching fish from the Ocean. and the river. The island is fully disconnected as a result there is no electricity. You can get generator services from hotels. Though this island has schools, masjid, and madrasah. Some people say that after saint martin, Island nijhum dwip is the second beautiful island in Bangladesh. The whole island covers a total area of 16,352 hectares. There is a big forest in this island and where lots of spotted Deer live. The Nijhum Dwip forest is really awesome with different trees, animals and especially it’s fully secured. So, you don’t need to fear about Royal Bengal Tiger. But you may see a Dangerous snake in the forest lake, or any other safe animal. There are 35 species birds, wild buffalos, and other forest animals are the tourist attraction. About 45,000 spotted deer’s lives in this forest and it’s open for all tourists. You can go deep inside in the forest without harming deer. Deep Where to Stay: There is no high-class hotel in nijhum dwip first of all electricity services are not available, But There is some middle-class hotels where you can stay and they also provide you generator services. Maximum hotels are located in the Bazar of this island. The main food item is fresh sea fish. There are a lot of fishes you can have in the local hotel with pre-order. You can arrange a bar-b-q party with sea fish Another thing is, if you like chicken for your meal you need to order them before your meal. There is a resort in nijhum dwip called “Nijhum Resort”. By Road- You can’t go there directly by road because the island is fully disconnected but you can use a road to go there within a short time. From the Dhaka Saidabad bus stand, you will find a lot of buses for noakhali. After reached Noakhali by bus, you need to ride CNG to go to chairman ghat. From chairman ghat, you will have to ride launch for Hatiya island or you can hire a speed boat to go to direct nijhum dwip ghat. If you wanna go there via hatiya island, you need to again ride on bike or 4 wheelers minibus to the last corner of hatiya island, where you will need to again ride on a boat to go to nijhum dwip ghat. By Train- You need to go to Kamalapur railway station or Airport Station to purchase Ticket for Noakhali. After Reaching Noakhali you need again ride on CNG to go to chairman ghat. From chairman ghat, you will have to ride launch for Hatiya island or you can hire a speed boat to go to direct nijhum dwip ghat. If you wanna go there via hatiya island, you need to again ride on bike or 4 wheelers minibus to the last corner of hatiya island, where you will need to again ride on a boat to go to finally nijhum dwip ghat. By River – From Sadarghat, you have to purchase a ticket for a long river journey to go to hatiya island at Tajimuddin ghat. After a long journey, you will reach tajumuddin ghat. From there, you have to ride motorbike or 4 wheelers minibus to go to nijhum dwip ghat where boats are waiting to reach you nijhum dwip.
